Alan Brown has been running these quizzes at the club since it was founded 1924 and it looks like the microphone we bought from another shady Jock, Alexander Graham Bell, (what did he ever do for us?) is on its last legs.

Some things change and some things remain the same; as for the past 5 years, it's the same bloody group of coaches who've walked away with the top prizes... Not even Mike Ranger's team of Oxbridge dons could wrestle the title from them!

Dave Gwyther and Tom Rands were phenominal in leading the U14 coaches' team, even without last year's inspirational but occasionally deluded captain, Charles Cockburn. Having Dave Lowe the astrophysicist helps, Adrian Blizzard's current affairs, Andy Lockie the petrolhead and David Bugler's literary genius; from Danger Mouse to Othello, from Gavin & Stacey to David Blunkett's bitches, these guys had it covered.

Great to see fellow U14 squad parents, Dave Forrest and Jon Airey in the runners up team too, and the U14 Mum's securing 5th place overall.

No surprise to witness the 2 teams of current senior squad players languishing at the bottom of the table, just too many pretty boy backs in the team!?
