Alton RFC Summer Touch Rugby is Back!!
Wed 25 Jul 2012 19:00 - 21:00
Following the major success of this event last season Alton RFC are once again inviting local people to participate in FUN Summer touch rugby! Everyone, from school year 7 to age 77 is more than welcome.
The emphasis is on fun, participation, fun and a bit more FUN. Alton RFC will be running the Turn Up and Play Touch Rugby from Wednesday 23rd May at 19.00 and on every Wednesday evening throughout the Summer period at Anstey Park, Alton.
Touch rugby is a great way to keep fit during the Summer - it's the perfect social game and introduction to the sport. As the name suggests, touch rugby is a minimal contact version of the game - no rucks or mauls, no scrums or lineouts, and where touching the player with the ball counts as a tackle. It's the perfect game for men and women, girls and boys, of all ages and abilities.
All you need to do is turn up and register at the club. On each Wednesday those who attend will be randomly allocated to a team for the evening. Your team will then play games of touch rugby with points being awarded to players each time your team wins! The more you play, the more points you score!
At the end of the event PRIZES will be awarded to the Top Mens Player, Top Womens Player and Top Junior Player.
.... and don't worry if you can't make the first evening, rock up on any Wednesday during the summer to join in!
