Alton under-14 rugby team won the Plate trophy at the Hampshire Youth Sevens Blue Competition at Overton recently.

In the group matches, Alton won matches against a combined Barbarians/Gosport side and Portsmouth B, drew with Petersfield and narrowly lost out to Fordingbridge in what effectively became a play off to reach the Cup Final.

In the Plate Final, Alton won convincingly against New Milton - eventually coming 3rd overall out of the 10 teams.
