Tough time for U10s at Petersfield

The sun shone all day at the Petersfield Tournament today, but the U10s developing side had quite a tough time.

They came up against high ranking opposition in the form of Andover, Farnham, Haywards Heath, Chichester and the A & B squads of Petersfield themselves. On each occasion, our boys were rather out performed but never gave up and kept their heads high showing an incredible level of determination, confidence and capability. Heading into the final group game, there was a real sense of adhesion within the team and one or two tense close calls on the touchline.

When Chichester's B squad failed to show for the Rosette Competition Final, Alton walked away default winners - not the perfect end to the day, but spirits were high as the boys collected their medals and reflected on a steep, but hugely valuable learning curve.
