Well done to the boys that played at Winchester today! You should all be very happy with the way you played.

I know that losing in the second place final was not the best way to finish the day but, as I said at the end, you need to to put that game behind you and focus on the way you played in the three games before that, when you had good wins against Gosport & Fareham,Winchester and New Milton. And in first game of the day, against Eastleigh, although you lost, you played well and were the team that made them work hardest for their win.
Our rucking and counter rucking was excellent, with several turnover balls won. We were running forwards (most of the time) and there were some great off loads out of contact, as well as passing to space in open play. The tackling improved as the day went on but that is still something to work on (legs, legs, legs!) and we need to work hard to keep the shape of our defensive line.
Overall, I was very impressed with the way that you all played. You did yourselves and the club proud. Good job!!
Finally, thank you to all of the parents for your well behaved support and for keeping me fed and watered! A special thanks to Rupert and Glen for stepping in and helping with the warm-ups.
