Alton U14s defeat a plucky Ellingham & Ringwood 29-5 in a match which was closely fought and much more evenly contested than the scoreline would suggest.

Alton sported the new playing kit, sponsored by Sony DADC, and looked the part on the field, however their support play and rucking fell short of the usual standard.

Big thanks to Dave Forrest, our newly qualified ref, who managed the game competently and with great assurance despite barracking from the E&R contingent.

Thanks also to the parents who put in a shift in the kitchen and bar, also the Head Coach who picked up table clearing and wiping duties!

The week ahead (w/c 19 October)

Training as usual from 19:00-20:30 on Thursday 22nd October. Our first League match versus Jersey will KO at 14:00 on Sunday, players to turn up at 12:30 for the pre-match warm up.

Half term week (w/c 26 October)

The London Irish masterclass rolls into Anstey Park once again on Monday and Tuesday, 26-27 October. Several of the squad have already signed up at the special member's rate of £70.  Ask Andy Gay for an application form.

There will be NO mid week training on Thursday 29th October.
